Open Mind Radio

Published by Susan Gillis Chapman on

I enjoyed being hosted by Cecelia Skidmore on her show Open Mind Radio.  Cecelia’s a practicing psychotherapist in Michigan who is passionate about new ideas and books.  We talked about my history, living in places like Alaska, Colorado and Cape Breton Island, and working in a maximum security prison as well as a buddhist monastery.  The photo here is one of those ‘hidden places’– the convent school I attended from grade one to twelve.  ( this was a sister school to the one that Lady Gaga went to, I’m proud to say).

It seems ordinary to me but when I reflect on the ‘hidden places’ that have taught me so much, I realize how unusually fortunate I’ve been to have visited worlds that are both naturally beautiful as well as challenging.
