Chemistry of Emotions – Burnaby Jan 29-30
THE CHEMISTRY OF EMOTIONS: a fresh approach to human relationships
Teaches us how to work with life’s most challenging communication. We will explore how “secondary” or shut down emotions (“The Red Light”) like arrogance, hyper-competitiveness, addiction, compulsive distraction-seeking and hatred can be softened and released, allowing more intelligence, warmth and compassion. We’ll also explore the cycles of “Mindless Heart” and “Heartless Mind” — two strategies we use to avoid emotional and mental truths in our interactions with others. Mudra Space Awareness exercises will allow us to explore these teachings in the body.
This retreat will also cover:
- Listening to the inner dialogues that trigger negative reactions
- Building skills to encounter our own and others’ negative emotions, and move towards the ‘Green Light’ of full hearted engagement
