Human communication is one of the central challenges in life. It is the source of joy and the cause of heartbreak. Wars are created from breakdowns in communication, and they can be ended by communication. It pushes us to our limits and can help us make peace with our basic nature. Greg Heffron will present a simple model and practices created by Acharya Susan Chapman from the fundamental teachings of Shambhala. This method addresses moments when we lose contact with ourselves and fall into fixed patterns of shutting down — and especially the moment when we lose confidence in the goodness of ourselves or others. This is when our meditation training is crucial, allowing us to re-discover the way back to openness, trust and genuineness.
